News Colonna Endorsed For Mayor By Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Ass'n PAC & LB Harbor Comm'n President Topsy-Elvord
(January 25, 2006) -- LB Mayoral candidate/Councilman Frank Colonna today announced the endorsement of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association Political Action Committee, LB Harbor Commission President and retired Councilwoman Doris Topsy-Elvord, the LB Marine Patrol Ass'n...and eight Mayors of surrounding cities.
"I am proud of our comunity support," said Colonna. "We are building an incredible coalition of city leaders, community advocates, business leaders and elected and appointed officials."
The Colonna campaign also rolled out a campaign advisory committee which includes LBCC Sup't/Pres. E. Jan Kehoe, LB Redevelopment Agency President Tom Fields and Belmont Shore Residents Ass'n Pres. Jeanette Gavin (full list follows):

Reached for reaction on the Howard Jarvis group's endorsement of Colonna, Mayoral candidate and retired Councilman Doug Drummond said, "I'm terribly disappointed that they don't understand the Long Beach problem, which is the pension spike. It will cost Long Beach taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars over the next 15 to 20 years...and Colonna voted for it."
