(July 5, 2019, 9:05 a.m.) -- It may have been difficult to hear amid the multiple mortar launched and ghround based explosions that rocked the Wrigley neighborhood on July 4th, but on the morning of July 5th, a Wrigley neighborhood resident reported to police that a bullet had gone through a window and into her residence in the area of Burnett St./Chestnut Ave. (6th Council district) on July 4th...and provided responding officers with the bullet casing.

LBPD Public Information Officer Shaunna Dandoy tells LBREPORT.com that at about 6:40 a.m. July 5th, officers responded to the 400 block of W Burnett St regarding a report of a shooting to a residence, contacted a woman (adult) who stated that a bullet had gone through her window last night. Officers recovered a bullet inside of the residence."

LBPD says no one was physically injured in the shooting, which was LB's 32nd document shooting crime scene (fatal + wounding + no persons hit) since May 7. LBPD says no suspect(s) or motive are known.
